Trash bin cleaning that leaves your bins smelling of fresh citrus

Not just hosed out. On trash day we hot-water wash, sanitize and deodorize your garbage, recycling and compost bins at the curb, so lifting the lid smells bright and clean instead of last week’s dinner.

  • From $25 a visit, 2 bins included
  • You don’t need to be home
  • No contract, cancel any time

Garbage can cleaning, start to finish

One short stop at your curb, while you get on with your day.

  1. On your trash day

Leave your bins out as usual. We come after the garbage truck has emptied them.

  2. Hot-water wash

Inside and out, lid, handle and hinges. Hot water lifts the grease and grime a garden hose leaves behind.

  3. Sanitize

A disinfectant goes on every surface, for the germs and the bacteria that cause the smell.

  4. Citrus finish

A citrus deodorizer last, so the lid opens to something fresh and bright.

  5. Nothing down the drain

The dirty water stays in our tank and goes to the sanitary sewer, never the gutter. California doesn’t allow wash water in storm drains.

Bin cleaning questions

Something else on your mind? Ask in the form’s notes and we’ll answer by email.

Do I need to be home?

No. Leave your bins at the curb on trash day as usual. We clean them there after the garbage truck has emptied them, and leave them where we found them.

Which day do you come?

Your trash day, after the collection truck has been, so the bins are empty. Tell us your trash day in the form, or leave it blank and we’ll look it up for your street.

Do you clean compost and recycling bins too?

Yes. Garbage, recycling and green compost bins are all cleaned the same way, and any mix counts toward the 2 bins in the price. Compost bins usually smell the worst, which is why many people pick a monthly plan.

How long does the citrus smell last?

It depends on what goes in the bin. The fresh scent is strongest for the first days; after that the bin stays far less smelly because the residue and bacteria behind the odor are gone. Regular cleans stop the smell building up again.

Is it eco-friendly? Where does the water go?

Hot water does most of the work, so we need less chemistry. The dirty water is collected in a tank on our rig and goes to the sanitary sewer for treatment, never into the gutter or a storm drain. In California, wash water isn’t allowed in storm drains.

What does it cost?

Monthly from $25 a visit, every other month from $32, quarterly from $39, or a one-time clean from $59. Each price covers up to 2 bins; each extra bin is $8 a visit. HOAs, apartment buildings and restaurants are priced per site.

Is there a contract? Can I cancel?

No contract. You can pause, change or cancel your plan any time before your next clean. Nothing is charged when you send the form; we confirm your route and first date by email first.

My bins are really gross. Can you still clean them?

Yes, that is what the hot water is for: old residue, grease and maggots wash out. If a bin needs much more than a normal clean, we’ll tell you before we start.

Where do you work?

We’re starting routes on the Peninsula, in the South Bay and in the East Bay. A route opens on a street once enough neighbours sign up. Put your ZIP code in the form and we’ll email you when your street is on a route.

Do you clean bins for HOAs, apartments or restaurants?

Yes, by contract. Shared bin rooms, many carts or several pickups a week are priced per site. Choose “HOA, apartments or restaurant” in the form and tell us about the bins.
